Not a private erase.
The status contract keeps one current message, update time and revision per caller. Old public events may persist. The interface checks the revision it reviewed, but the contract does not accept an expected-revision argument: concurrent transactions can still change ordering. A receipt mismatch must trigger a fresh read, not an assumption that nothing changed.
